If I had a crap load of money...

I definitely wouldn't be saying anything about it. I'd buy a small house, a couple nice vehicles and a beater. I think I'd probably meet most people with the beater, as where there's money there is inevitably going to be questions about sincerity. Option 2) I'd build a cabin in a remote area, and disappear, hunt and garden for food, and only come out every great once in a while, probably not using the same shops/towns regularly.
