Can anyone help? I am having problems getting me USB webcam working in Chat. I use Ubuntu Linux and firefox. The cam works fine with other applications but Flash says there is no camera present under "general settings".
Hope someone can help - I'm all undressed and nowhere to go !
Hi there, are you using the latest version of flash? I would try re-installing flash and remember to reboot.

Everything seems to be up to date - finds cam in gstreamer-properties so Linux sees it okay just doesn't translate through to Flash
Ok, will have to look into this for you.
If there is anyone else who has had a problem like this and got it fixed let us know!

Hi Sassy and Dutch. I have tried disabling the internal one but it doesn't help. It works fine for Cheese Webcam Booth where only the USB cam appears as an option but not in Flashplayer. The cam works fine in XP and I have used this to cam on PV but need to get it going in Linux. I have tried to run it using Wine by the way and that doesn't work either.
Hope someone can help
