4 to 6 weeks ago there was a brief power surge that shut the website down (less than 3 minutes). there's no doubt it was electric, not server but none of us will ever know where in the world it occurred.

the whole architecture of the internet is based on no-interruption...so if there's a glitch somewhere in the world, the system bypasses the problem & heals itself (lookup "apernet" for original details)

at PV, previously my log-in was memorized, i could click right in, now i have to "log in" each time.

i'm curious if i can get back to having my password remembered (it WAS easier!)
on the other hand...i'm not surw that auto-easy log-in is SECURE!

perhaps this minor inconvenience is better safety-wise for the entire PV community.

SO, i'm not complaining, just asking what our current log-in procedures are...is the new situation because of security?? i wonder, because it only happened after that power outage.

the rest of my lil quibbles U already know...
take care, be safe...eyeballs

Hi Eyeballs I take it that you have "ticked" the little box to remember your password and it's not?

Have you tried another browser?

Have you changed your internet settings to block cookies?

Seems to be a lot of ticking off going on around here lately. (You knew someone had to say it. I figured I'd beat Bizz to it.)

Hickory, dickory, dock. Three mice ran up the clock.
The clock struck one, and the other two escaped with minor injuries.
