I spoke with my daughter who lives in Perth Australia. She reminded me of a weird "True Story".

In 2007, she was at a sports bar here in town watching a football game. I'm from Minnesota so she grew up being a Vikings fan. A guy started chatting her up and started to hit on her. He asked her why she was a Vikings fan. She explained it to him.
After a few beers and numerous details came out, it turned out that this was a guy I had gone to high school with. And had a history with. He claimed he had won a sporting award that I had a picture of myself receiving when we were 12.
At my 30th HS reunion, me and my wife ran into him. He told the tale to my wife with great enthusiasm...not knowing she had seen the picture. I of course, spread the story that evening. The guy, a notorious one-upper, outted himself to many people.
Flash forward 5 years to the bar scene. My daughter called me and asked if she could give him my phone number. Sure I said. At this point I was no longer married and was living with a girl who was 20 years my junior. She was beautiful, very intelligent, and could read guys like books (which is why I never tried to bullshit her).
We went out to dinner that night and listened to him talk about all the Walmarts he had replaced. He had grown up very well off but he had peaked in high school. He'd been dumped by most of the hottest girls in our school. When he saw Hannah (my live in) his eyes damn near popped out of his head. Hannah is in the same league as Juicyjenny (Hannah introduced me to Juicyjenny) and nothing lets the air out of a guy like that as fast as a beautiful girl being bored by bullshit that worked on lesser and more easily impressed women. She asked him about the award and why he tried to claim it. When she gets bored she can get bitchy.

Awkward.

I started hearing from high school friends left and right. Since I'm immature and Hannah was very mature for her age, she could handle me acting like a kid. Everybody I knew in Texas knew us as a couple and it was no big deal. To the people I grew up with, it was a big story. Especially with the women. I started getting those looks. The "how does he rate a young hottie" looks. I make decent money but not "trophy girl" money. It's because I like smart women and I treat them as such. You can only spend so much time in bed. And my partner has to be able to stimulate my mind in all the "non-bed time".

Anyway, my 50th reunion is this summer. I've already heard from several girls that were out of my league back then.
It sounds like I'll be playing in a different league this time.

I'll update this after my reunion.
