Howdy Folks

Yep, ole Jahoo here. Was just sitting in my easy chair and thinking about some folks from PV, and well, all over. I know some of their stories, know the situations and well, I wanted to take a little pause and tip the hat and say a little prayer for them.

You see, the folks I am thinking about are the ones on the front lines of our current situation and some, a lot of people hadn't thought about.

I'm thinking about the health care givers. The Drs and nurses that are working double shifts, filling in for those that have been stricken, and to help provide care, not only to those that have contracted the virus but those going through the everyday medical emergencies. Long hrs and a lot of stress.

But you know, there are others that most don't think about. I'm a little partial to the next group because at one time I was one of them. I still keep in contact with those from my other life and have heard their stories.

They are the ones in the medical laboratories. Again, working long hrs doing the additional testing, keeping instruments running, dealing with supply shortages and all this with the fears we all have. Along with them are the ones that have pursued the R&D world, working for the companies that develop the testing kits. Others that I have known have went to work for the CDC, in both testing and surveillance. They also working hard to in this war.

But you know, not trying to single one group of health care providers over another. I mean, you have the respiratory folks, radiation sciences, those working hard trying to get the needed supplies ordered and on the shelves. The maintenance folks keeping the hospitals running. And maybe one of the most neglected people at those hospitals and health care facilities, the housekeeping staff. Working extra hard, keeping things not only clean, but sanitary.

And then there are the EMT's, paramedics, and fire personnel that are gathering up those that can't make it on their own.

Sorry, guess I got a little carried away when I started trying to list those I felt needed listing.

I guess really in the long run, I just want to say thanks to everyone working hard during these times and well.........say a prayer for us all.
