Howdy folks
Ole Jahoo here, and have been reading over some posts on another topic. Sad, really sad.
You see, I was reading a post that was dedicated to those that have served their country, and died doing it. It was one of reverence. Respect.

Hum, funny thing there, respect. Seems there are some that don't quite understand that word. Seems they want it, demand that their views deserve it, but in turn, will not give it to others. And will be the first to cry if confronted.

Respect is a two way street, sometimes I really thing mutual needs to be added to the front of it in most cases.

We need to learn and understand that word. If you want respect, you have to give it also.

Which brings me back to the subject at hand. You see there was someone that had decided to take the idea of respect of those that gave their lives to allow this person the right to speak their mind. And what did this person do? They turned their back on those that died for them, thumbed their noses at them, defecated on their graves. Sad, really sad.

It shows there are people in this world that has so much hatred in their heart that you have to wonder why? Yes, we do not live in a perfect world, but to just hate because you can. sad.

But we also know some folks thinks it is funny, to play the troll, get others riled up. Again, sad. It shows there is no respect in that person's heart.

But you know what is worse? When we have an admin section at this site. One that is suppose to monitor the place. Keep the trolls at bay, and yet...............

Oh, some will say that they allowing freedom in speech, not wanting to censor someone, limit their voice. But you know, when you look at the thread, what it was meant to be. What it was honoring. What emotions it brings. When you look at the context and yet those comments were allowed, comments that were so inappropriate, inflammatory even.
Wow, how sad, how so very sad.

So now we have a situation where someone felt the need to honor people, show their respect. But it is jeopardy because one person has decided to show no respect for the views of another and those that are suppose to keep watch has came up lame.

Wonders what this world would be like if those that have fallen would have turned their backs and just walked away from that fight.

Have to agree with you jahoo. When I started to read the thread I had every intention of posting a comment, however, got to a certain point and it was just like WTF. Just pissed me off I couldn't even continue with the thread. I come from a family where almost every single male has served in the military for many generations, plus I have friends on here on PV and in the real world who served in the various branches of the military.

I think the people who feel the need to spew their political views should find themselves a political forum, I'm sure there are plenty of them out there. Lately it seems no matter what the topic, it turns into a political bullshit session, or worse of war words.

Yes, EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion, but there's a place for it and it certainly isn't taking over a porn forum every time somebody starts a thread.

If the comments are just to get someone riled up, send a personal email for the debate. It really is out of control.

Glad to see the bullshit was taken down by admin.

Just a thank you to Min, Beth or whomever it was for responding quickly.

It needed to be said, Jahoo. Thank you. And thanks to the powers that be for taking down the hate.

Actually folks, I think it is time to put this thing to rest. The offensive comments were taken down and there is no need to rekindle the fire.

Naming names will not be beneficial.

Lets just move on and keep a smile on our face. : )

I also served in the Military, in the early 70's. And if I had seen the rude comment I would have made a comment back, to let the person know it was a bad decision on their part to make such a statement.. and just because someone is their friend, don't hold it against them too. I have my own political views as most know, but I no longer state them here or in chat, not the place for a political platform, and that goes for everyone, not just a select few, remember that....
