Another opportunity lost. Life is a bell curve and you can’t save everybody. If he had understood that the number of delusional people was less than the number of people who were there to make sure they didn’t make fools of themselves and that he was getting his own kind of delusional jollies, that would be one thing. But to maintain he was providing an important service shows a level of ignorance almost epic in it’s scale. His usefulness as an example will never equal the damage he can do either on purpose or inadvertently. The teacher in me hates to see someone who can’t or refuses to learn. The human in me says “fuck-em’ and good riddance”.
