Thank you to every single veteran across this great nation! Mere words are not enough, that I am sure of, but you are the true fabric that make up that red white & blue flag that flies high and beautifully in every town all across this country ! You have my utmost respect today and every day!
We all know veterans..they’re heroes among us..they’re seen at the grocery store, in church on Sunday mornings, the football games on Friday nights, maybe he/she is your postal carrier, the truck driver or a farmer…and sadly, the homeless veteran. They’re everywhere♥️
I can’t speak for them, but I can only speculate, that the best thank you we could give them, is to do better! Lend a helping hand to those in need, stop and have that conversation with an elderly person and brighten their day, donate to charities if you’re able, feed a child’s imagination, give a random stranger a compliment, and you get the idea! Quite simply, be a giver, not a taker:) What have you done today that will make for a better world tomorrow? You can do better..we all can..and it will make a difference…AND THEY WILL NOTICE!!😘

One more thing…THANK YOU to my favorite veteran, my man of many names 😉 for helping me ( by leading by example..yes I pay attention:) to realize that I can do better! I♥️U!

My year was the last year (74) they gave out draft cards. We had a lottery but no actual draft. My draft card had number 2 on it. If they still had a draft for me I wouldn't have dropped out of college. I ended up enlisting in 1975.

Any other paratroopers on the site? I was in the 18th Airborne Corp.
