As a woman return home she finds a note left by her husband on the dining room table. The note reads

To my dear wife I'm sure you will understand that I have certain needs that you at 48 can no satisfy. I love you very much and value our marriage. I hope you won't be upset and will understand. I am at the comfort in with one of my 20 year old students. I will be home before midnight.


As the man returns home late that night he finds a note left by his wife on the dining room table.


To my dear husband I received your letter and want to thank you for your honesty. As for me being 48 I want to remind you that you are also 48. I would like to inform you that while you read this I'll be at the Marriot hotel with a co worker named Michael. Like your student he is also 20. As a teacher at our local college and having an excellent knowledge of math. I'm sure you will understand that although it may appear that we are in the same situation there is one mathematcal difference. 20 goes into 48 a lot more times then 48 goes into 20. Therefore I won't be home until sometime tomorrow...
