I'm trying to gauge the usefulness of organizing a "Summer meetup". Yes, I get it is May and there may be no time to adequately plan for this sort of thing, but without asking, I'll not become informed of past attempts, constraints, and successes. Chat is one thing, meeting personally, I understand, presents other risks but it also presents opportunities.

There are alternatives, like hitching up to an event that already exists. There's a bit of an expense, but what sort of logistics and interests exist among the community here?
